Sera Prognostics is advancing the commercialization of the PreTRM® Test to drive meaningful change in maternal health. This role will lead the design and execution of Sera’s payer, Medicaid, and government engagement strategy, with a strong focus on value‑based adoption, health equity, and population‑level impact. The position will also play a key role in identifying and engaging strategic partners to expand access, coverage, and sustainable adoption nationwide.

Responsibilities
- Own payer, Medicaid, and government engagement strategy to drive adoption and covered lives for the PreTRM® Test.
- Develop payer value frameworks aligned to maternal population health outcomes and health equity priorities.
- Engage state Medicaid agencies, managed care organizations, and other government stakeholders; build relationships with advocacy, public health, and policy organizations.
- Lead strategic partnerships, pilots, and scalable population health initiatives in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Partner cross-functionally with Medical, Commercial, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Commercial Operations to align partnership strategy, proposals, and execution to company objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Drive contracting execution with payers and government entities, including coordination of consultants and timelines.
- Lead payer-related coding strategy and support provider enrollment/provider identifier requirements (with consultant partners) to enable timely billing at go-live.
- Establish operating cadence and performance management for live partnerships (e.g., service-level agreements (SLAs), performance guarantees, incentives) and build groundwork for scope expansion.
- Represent Sera externally with senior payer, government, provider, and advocacy leaders; ensure scalable, high-quality partner experience as the program grows.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in payer strategy, Medicaid, public health, or population health leadership roles.
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Deep understanding of Medicaid and managed care environments.
- Experience in maternal health, population health, or health equity initiatives.
- Strong executive communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated strength in relationship development with decision-makers across payer, government, provider, and partner organizations.
- Proven ability to execute partnership agreements and drive initiatives through completion.
- Experience aligning operations, commercial teams, and marketing around shared partnership goals and delivery plans.
- Experience leading multi-payer and government contracting workstreams, including coordinating internal teams and external consultants to achieve timelines.
- Track record of supporting pilot/partnership success and scaling adoption and coverage from local and regional opportunities to national scope.
- Experience partnering with Medical, Commercial, and IT teams to automate processes and improve long-term scalability.
- Strategic, systems-oriented thinker who can work across partners to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Ability to articulate a clear vision for how partnerships augment provider and community-based work, and help build a foundation for additional product opportunities over time.
