Sera Prognostics, Inc., an innovative women’s health care company based in Salt Lake City, is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL). The MSL plays a vital role in advancing Sera’s mission by serving as a trusted scientific and clinical resource to healthcare professionals. In this highly collaborative role, you will work cross‑functionally with commercial, clinical operations, and evidence development teams to support overall corporate strategy and product adoption.
As an MSL, you will build and sustain strong, peer‑to‑peer relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers, delivering meaningful medical education and scientific exchange. You will act as a subject matter expert on Sera’s products and services, helping clinicians understand clinical value, interpret evidence, and successfully integrate our solutions into their practice—ultimately improving care for expectant mothers.

Responsibilities
- Become proficient in and demonstrate the ability to understand the major data sources (clinical trials, studies, published reports, etc.) relative to the use of Sera Prognostics products.
- Support healthcare providers by offering clinical and scientific information that helps guide medical decisions.
- Deliver clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare providers, health systems, and medical group leadership, as well as community/advocacy groups.
- Work collaboratively with the field sales team to create and implement educational strategies for key clients.
- Support the field sales team through presentations and peer-to-peer education for key accounts, dinner programs, regional conferences, etc.
- Provide insight into market trends and competition.
- Build relationships and assist in the development of key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Build relationships with key decision makers in health systems, medical groups, healthcare provider offices, state departments of public health, advocacy organizations, and national/regional professional societies.
- Collaborate with clients and thought leaders on an international, national, regional, and local level to develop clinical insights that support medical research associated with new and existing products.
- Support implementation teams for commercial pilots and clinical studies, as needed.
- Collect and report market information within company guidelines.
- Provide the Clinical Operations team with recommendations from the field on investigator-initiated research (IIR) program, and site identification and selection for future pilots, trials and studies.
- Work collaboratively with the Commercial Operations team to provide insights regarding opportunities for improvements in the sales force for field medical workflows and RAE training.
- Attend regional and national trade shows, symposia, and scientific/clinical meetings.
- Identify and attend local/regional educational events such as patient education events.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.

Required Qualifications
- Clinical background in Women’s Health – OB/GYN, Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), Medical Doctor (MD), or equivalent other clinical experience.
- Minimum BA/BS in an appropriate scientific/medical field of study.
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated relevant MSL / Field Medical experience preferred.
- At least 1-2 years relevant experience required (clinical practice, academic research, industry)
- Previous Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, or similar medical communications experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical or diagnostics industry.
- Experience with formal presentations and interaction with clinical experts.
